Cloud & Engineering

Cloud and engineering help when the stakes are higher.

This is the deeper technical service line: AWS and cloud infrastructure, production engineering, reliability, security, and cloud operations. You work directly with a senior engineer to understand the risks, choose a practical plan, and make it work.

What we do

Cloud work, handled with plain-English guidance.

We start with the goal, deadline, risk, and cost. The tooling comes after that.

AWS / Cloud Infrastructure

Secure, reliable, cost-aware AWS from a Certified Solutions Architect.

  • IAM and Identity Center
  • Cost cleanup and right-sizing
  • Reliability, backups, and recovery
  • Infrastructure as code with Terraform

Reliability, Security & Cloud Operations

Monitoring, backups, security controls, and compliance readiness when a customer, vendor, or internal requirement raises the bar. SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS support where relevant.

  • Gap assessment against the framework
  • Access, logging, encryption, backup, and monitoring controls
  • Evidence collection and policy documentation
  • Audit support, start to finish

Production Engineering / DevOps

Engineering around working software and repeatable operations: delivery, guardrails, logging, recovery, and clear ownership. For an existing app that needs shoring up, see Production-Ready.

  • Workflow automation across business tools
  • Guardrails for high-impact automations
  • Integrations between systems that do not talk
  • Documentation your team can maintain

Good fit

Useful when the stakes are high and the deadline is real.

BRCC helps most when a customer is asking for compliance proof, an AWS environment needs cleanup, a cloud bill is drifting, or a manual process is now too important to leave informal.

Start with the goal.

We will tell you what matters now, what can wait, and what is not worth doing at all.

A concrete starting point

Start with an assessment you can act on.

A cloud review can produce an environment inventory, a prioritized list of findings, and a proposed change plan with dependencies and tradeoffs. An implementation project adds the agreed changes, checks, and operational documentation. We decide which of these you need before work begins.

Illustrative example, not a customer case study

A hypothetical team has a growing AWS bill and little confidence in its backups. The first step is to identify the resources, owners, billing drivers, and recovery requirements. The resulting plan separates possible savings from changes that could affect availability. A selected change is tested with a rollback path; a recovery exercise checks the agreed backup procedure. Cost savings are measured against the actual bill, not promised in advance.

What to bring to the first conversation

Bring the business goal, deadline, known risks, existing diagrams or documentation, and the person who owns the AWS account. For compliance readiness, identify the requested framework, scope, and assessor requirements. Do not put credentials or sensitive customer data in the contact form. We agree on appropriate access for the assessment.

Testing, ownership, and limits

The change plan defines what success looks like, how to check it, and how to reverse a change where practical. Handoff includes the agreed configuration or code, operating notes, unresolved risks, and named ownership. Monitoring and ongoing support are separate scope decisions. Compliance readiness work supports your assessment; an independent assessor makes certification or audit decisions.

Plain-English promise

Advanced work should still be understandable.

Compliance and AWS can get foggy fast. We keep the work grounded: what problem we are solving, what changed, what it costs, and what you need to know after we leave.

  • Direct senior technical help
  • Clear scope and practical documentation
  • Auditor-friendly evidence when compliance is involved
  • No theater, no tool sprawl, no mystery invoices
